WHALE WATCHING AT LODGE HAVNNES
WHALE WATCHING SEASON
Every year, the whales return to the rich fjords of Northern Norway. From late October throughout January, humpbacks and orcas arrive to feed on herring just off the coast of Havnnes. At Lodge Havnnes, you’re placed right in the heart of it all - in complete comfort and privacy.

WHEN TO
VISIT
Mid October & November: Quiet fjords, glowing autumn skies, and typically the least crowded time. Snow might come and go. Intimate, golden-hour encounters.
December: Deep polar night. Though the sun doesn’t rise, the whales stay active. Encounters feel even more intense under the twilight skies and even northern lights.
January: Crisp Arctic light returns. This is typically the coldest month, with clear visibility and dramatic contrasts of snow and sea.
