TRAVEL TO HAVNNES

Firstly, Havnnes is situated on Uløya island which requires a short ferry ride of 6-7 minutes if you come by car or plane.

Plane:

 

• Private planes can land in Alta, 4 hours by car from Havnnes. 
   

• SAS, Norwegian, Widerøe and a selection of international airlines fly to Tromsø, depending on the season.

 

• Widerøe also operates domestic flights from Tromsø to Sørkjosen. This is a 20 minute fantastic flight over the Lyngen Alps. From Sørkjosen airport it is a 15 minute transfer to the port that takes you to Havnnes.​

Boat: Private boats can transfer you from downtown Tromsø directly to Havnnes port in 2,5 hrs.

​

Car: By car from Tromsø, it takes approximately 3,5 hours to reach the ferry terminal. The trip involves 2 other ferry rides with views of the Lyngen Alps. We are happy to pick you up, or you can rent a car of your own.

 

Bus: It is also possible to ride a bus from Tromsø to the ferry terminal which takes around 4 hours.

Helicopter: Helitrans has a helicopter base in Tromsø and offers direct flights to Havnnes in 20-30 minutes. The helicopter ride through the Lyngen Alps is a spectacular experience.

Bus and ferry schedules are available through regional transport arranger Svipper. If the ferry from Rotsund to Havnnes does not match your schedule, it is possible to arrange transport with a smaller boat.
